EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)

Better known as "rubber" roofing, EPDM membrane offers a host of advantages. EPDM is considered to be the longest lasting membrane roof system and can be installed in several ways; fully adhered, ballasted or mechanically attached. Overall EPDM roofing offers enhanced weatherability, durability and versatility but has greater difficulty withstanding oil and chemical attack.

TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin)

TPO is a single-ply roofing system consisting of a Thermoplastic Polyolefin membrane. The TPO Rubber Roofing Systems can incorporate 45-mil, 60-mil, 72-mil or 80-mil membranes. The TPO membrane typically comprised of three layers of TPO polymer base; a strong, polyester-reinforced fabric center (scrim) and a tough thermoplastic polyolefin compounded top ply.

Modified Bitumen

Modified bitumen roofing systems also use multiple layers of bitumen and reinforcing materials, but various materials, such as polymers, are added to the bitumen to alter some of its properties for greater stability and flexibility in a wide range of temperatures. Modified bitumen roofing systems are very versatile and can be used in most applications with adequate drainage. They are also easily repaired when required.

Roof Coatings/Water Proofing

Hydro-Stop

The Hydro stop roof system is known throughout the world for all of its benefits. The Hydro stop premium roofing coat system installs easily onto many different substrates. This roof system is primarily installed onto flat roofs, metal roofs, and historical buildings. The primary use for the premium coat system is for school buildings. The Hydro Stop product is completely white and has an energy Star rating of 10. This allows the roof system to remain cool and not transfer heat into the buildings which in return would increase the cost of the cooling bill.

Seal-O-Flex

Sealoflex Finish Coat™ is a waterborne, single component roof coating. It is a tough flexible material, which displays good UV and Ozone resistance. Sealoflex Finish Coat™ is generally used in conjunction with Sealoflex Pink® and polyester reinforcing fabric to form a fully adhered single ply roofing membrane. Sealoflex Finish Coat™ is also used extensively as a protective coating to existing and new roofing materials such as single plys, modified asphalt membranes, and metal roofs.

The process starts with a complete roof analysis of existing roof conditions. One of our highly qualified inspectors will scope the entire roof area looking for and documenting any deficiencies and/or improvements necessary, each area will be photographed and documented.

In addition to a visual inspection, infrared cameras can be used to discover insidious problems not visible to the eye.
A roof core sample will be taken to analyze the existing roofs substrate, membrane and thickness of insulation.
  

 

Your roof and structure will be scrutinized for deficiencies and improvements necessary for proper drainage and/or special needs. 

All walls, corners and the field will be sloped correctly toward the drainage system to allow minimal “ponding”.  All serviceable components and roof penetrations will be closely examined and prepared or addressed before the main body of the roof is applied. 

 

A post inspection is performed by Bold Roofing and often times by the manufacturer for warranty purposes.   All details of the entire roof system are closely examined to provide the longest life possible for your particular system.
